Monday

Had a badminton session after our psycho lecture with Denise, Van van and Encheng. After Denise left for her night date, the 3 of us went to canteen 2 for a bite. We discover that something quenching for such a weather!! MANGO ICE SHAVING! The mango cubes are naturally sweeet and not sour at all, with a hint of milk from the ice craving. And it is not too sweet! Just nice! Yummm. I think I need one now!

Friday

Van van opened her home to us! Denise, Sengkiat and 2 of Denise and Van's common friends , Seet Ee and Denise Loh, got to bake cupcakes at her house. Sadly, Esther had to attend to family matter.

Led by the experts Denise and Seet Ee, the rest of us contributed in some parts of the process. But I think I contribute more in term of eyepower and helping van to finish her calibee.. Lol.

Finallllllllllly!
The cupcakes were really nice!! Can you imagine?? I gorged down 4 larger and 6 smaller ones. No wonder, the weight machine is protesting to my current appetite.

After all the baking, we stayed for overdosed of cable tv programmes and... MAHJONG and DAIDEE!! My Shifu, Van van taught me mahjong! I managed to hu once! Lol. My hands are itchy now sia!! After dinner, we went on to Daidee. Particularly, when we were playing Asshole Daidee, (goshh..) it was so exciting!! We battled like crazy to climb up the social ladder.. Play again soon ya gals.. Or I will forget!! Lol.

ASK brought his SLR camera along. That is why the photos are so FREAKING CLEAR man!! We got to try it out.. It was quite pressuring to hold a close to $3k camera especially it is not light! However, it is coool to take photos that is that clear!... It is understandable why ASK is into this hobby, probably his future professional. To capture a freezing moment of spectacle, it is really addictive. Do your best man, ask. Here are more photos.

Really wana thank Van for letting us baking in her house and created such mess. Thanks for the hospitality and the dinner!=)

Went to lecture before meeting shan.. Finally, we met out. Realized that this kinda weather really make going to Bugis Village an torture. Haha.

Wednesday
Within a week, I got so many "mosquito bites". Initially, everything seemed okies. Cos I have Eczema, thus no surprise such thing happens. Later the day, my sister came with complaining about her "mosquito bites". Immediately, my mum went into panic mode and suspected that there were bed bugs.. So my evening passed with searching for bugs, changing of bedsheets etc.

There was no sight of bugs. We kept telling mum that bed bug is not possible as I just changed the sheets, and she insisted it was the cause. She made alot of plans. The way she reacted with kinda funny. Haha.

In the end, it wasn't bed bug.

Thursday
Supposed to attend my first research programme for Psychology but I woke up late. I had to take cab from JP to NTU. Guess what?? For such a distance, it costs me $6.20!! Gasp! Couldn't believe it.

The surprise quiz was a sheer luck! I studied only 1.01 chapters out of the 5. I got a question wrong. Thank god! Class was real funny today with some heated debate over some ambiguous questions. The tutor was speechless at some point of times, made some hilarious expressions. Haha. Will the next tutorial be as fun?

After class, I went to get more ointment for my skin. In the end, spent about $60. Gosh. I feel so light today with my purse all emptied out!

Okies, time to turn in and work hard tomorrow for the mid term. Before I disappear, I wana cheer!! David Cook won the AMerican Idol!! Hoorrray! Really love his version of Alway be my baby. Never interested in this song when Mariah Carrey sang it. David Cook created life for this song! If he sang this to me, I definitely wont leave him. muhahaha! Enjoy!=)

Announcing the results to .... (*clear throat.. fake British accent*)

The Battle of the Coaches
Actually, there is no conclusion to this battle due to low response and ambiguous votes. Nonetheless, I feel that none of ours is superior than the each other's. In a way, each is a gesture of love from our loved ones. Beyond the brand and design, affection paints a story that triumphs its materialistic form. Sooo.. I like san's and I love mine!

8th May 2008
Guess where were we??
We were @ Shokudu Japanese food bazaar. Yup yup! The japanese style Marche.. We had been so excited as Esther and san recommended it! What's more I came across some photos of the food when I yahoo-ed for the restaurant. Everything looked drooooooling. The ambiance felt alot as if we were at a food brazaar in Japan. Walking around, "scavenging" for food was an adventure! We could hardly contain our excitements! I just wanted to grab and eat right at the spot!! Well.. I guess I was not only one feeling excited. Probably, that's why Denise was behaving weirdly with her chopsticks! Keke.

The five of us went around ordering food and flashing our Shokudo card! We shared all the food , grabbing a bite here and nibbling there! We managed to try quite alot of food and ended up paying less than what I paid at Waraku on Tuesday! Super worth it la!! Good strategy we had, jie mei men!!

San's recommendations were true! I like the Rosti!! But it was abit oily! I love the omelette lo.! It was heavenly. We had salmon omelette. The salmon, the egg, the cuttel fish shavings and the sauces blended nicely like they were a bunch of close friends!! Totally thumb-up!

The Japanese pizza was good. I love the way the wasaba blended with the cheese. The wasaba didn't taste spicy at all!! The cherry syrupy superseded the taste of the cheese cake. And, our tastebuds were numbed by the sweetness that we could taste the ice cream.

The bamboo unagi rice is delicious too! The rice tasted like it was cooked with some tea leaves..

Dessert was a different story. We had cheese tofu and banana crepe with sweet potato, honey and water chestnut ice cream. So I conclude that the food is tasty! While the desserts are average for me.

Esther and Denise with their Shokudo card.

Sengkiat (ask) and me. We were supposed to celebrate his super belated birthday!! =p Hope he enjoy the food.

Van van and me tasting our ice cream.. Guest starring a mysterious hand.

A group photo. YEah! We've been to Shokudo!!

OH OH! Shokudo has neoprint machine!! Since we were there, and since we had never taken any neopints together, we gave it a shot! The process was so funny, cos we didn't understand the jap instructions!! Anyway press here and there!! In the end, some of the pictures are weird! But it was fun!! Surely, I will go back to try other food. But at the mean time...

Happie Belated Birthday to ASK!!!

*TO the USUAL 5*
When we were questioning mr honest about what he did to the Levis voucher we gave him on Mondy, san mentioned that I still keep my voucher. I wanted to exclaim "No,NO". My mouth opened and shut. I wanted to give you all the surprise with picture somemore! I have finally used the Capitaland voucher you all gave to me for my birthday to buy an electric oven!!

You see, I wanted to ask you all out to buy together. But on Sunday, I went to PS with my sister. We went to Carrefour and saw oven la. There was an uncle promoter there, trying to promote to us. I ignored him initially but he went on and on. So, I decided to ask him some questions regarding oven. He explained so much even talked about lights at home all that. I felt so paiseh not buying from him.

The oven costs $99.90. Hence, there is a 10cent excess from the voucher. Lol. I haven't try the oven yet.. But soon soon ya. See, see. Knots of the oven is lime GREEN, representative of me. Lol. I really want to thank you all for the kind gesture!! If you all never give me the vouchers, I doubt I will buy an oven. Hopefully, one day you all will get to taste something nice from me ya. Keke.

Met up with Rainbow @ Waraku for dinner on Tuesday. SO long never see Rainbow!! So glad that she is forever so positive. Jia you jia you! I declare I am sick of Waraku food le!! Change a venue for gathering next time ya. =P

Van van, this is the potato cheese mochi. It is $8.80 for 4 pieces.

Rainbow's soba. We were stunned when the waitress first presented the dish. There were some branches accompanying the soba. I thought that could be eaten. Chey. They were garnish only. Interesting though.

Mine Kimchi Ramen. Quite nice but it is not spicy enough and abit salty. Tasted like maggi mee but only it is more x ($12.80).

Hong hong, next time (around June or July) meet up again ya. Or else, I dunno when can see you again. =p

can you feel the intensity?? something is going on.(done by: san)

San met us out today to pass us some snacks she got from Japan. Each of us got a pack of "LOVE" including a love letter. lol. Here is a little visual recap of the mini-ceremony.
Btw thanks kai and san for the durian strudel! YUMM!=)

Today's gathering was interesting. We have 3 main conclusions.

1) YS's nick is officially 五千块. I dunno what happened. It seems like before I arrived they found out that he earned $5000 from his job. Wooo..

2) Ivan's Mr Nice Guy title is at stake!! He said this while we were discussing about the state of my Macbook: Macbook is for professional like Yong Sheng to use, you (yesh! me!!!) will only 糟塌 it. We were stunned cos we did not expect him to use 糟塌 such strong words. Lol. I threatened to look out my past entries and friendster photos that mentioned that he is Mr Nice Guy and cancel it. Lol. So funny. In the end, I kinda proved him right. I didnt know how to type Chinese with Mac so I asked him to help me.

3) Ahseow becomes Mr Honest. Wa kao!! He is so honest until he told us that super transparently how he uses the Levis vouchers we gave him for his birthday. He gave it to his friend as his 21st birthday since he has no time to go out and grab a gift for him. Dots. Our first birthday to him ended up on the body of some one else. Lol.

We had our dinner at Swensens@ WestMall. It is a place where you can really witness inflation conquering your wallet. Food portion is getting smaller, while the price is increasing.
P.S: seow, you see la. everyone's head positioned nicely, except yours. you cannot blame me for nagging just now hor. =p

Our Earthquake! Thanks to YS aka 五千块 for generously volunteered to treat us dessert=)

Definitely agreed with san that I enjoyed today's gathering. Dunno what happened to seow. Suddenly, he becomes so high. Keep attacking Ivan. Whatever Ivan said or acted, he rebutted. It was so hilarious! I feel that Ivan and Seow could make a great couple.

Nonetheless, gals and guys.. MEET OUT SOON YA!!=) missing you all already!

Met up with san san last friday!! We went for a swim. I forgot my sunblock. Gosh, I got burnt so badly until I think I burnt my scalp too! Touching my arms and scalp is so painful=( Lin mei mei said I looked like roast duck. I guess, it is better to "Be Safe, Use Protection" after all.

Unexpected day. After 2+ weeks of not meeting ahsan, we managed to find similarities in our dressing and possessions.

1) Our nerdy but demure spectacled image

2) Our red phones (Hers: Sony Ericsson, Mine: Samsung)
3) Our Coach Cardholders (Hers: Bottom, Mine: Top)

3) Our brown pendicure!!

More pictures to come. I know, I know. I vowed not to take photo with my ugly hairstyle and spect. Whatever! Just take. Haha. Who wana miss out the funs!

It is so interesting to listen to san's story about her adventures in Japan. It makes me wana go traveling! Okies save up!! Save up!!
