This entry is long over-due! I was supposed to post the photos on OVE'07 on my blog. However, in the era of Information Age, we are truly confronted by too much information. I have so many OVE photos that it was hard to load and arrange them. Okies okies. Back to the main topic, there are the photos!
Amazing Spirit!!
I like this Christian song! It feels very inspiring. Another thing is I feel that they were very united while singing the song at the Farewell Party. It is like they are all the followers God, rather than divided as rich or poor. In Philippines, Christianity is their major religion (and there are a few other religions too). The Filipino Christians that I had come across are really very devoted to their religion. Some really sing as if they are really connected to GOd at that moment.
Marvelous~!! Bravo!
Wooh.. The Filipino teens really LOVE to sing and dance. In fact, I heard that they had won a few awards! Yesh!! They are really good at it!!
JR the man!!!
Hoho. My host's son.. JR! He is a great cook!!! Really miss his cookings. And, he has benevolent heart too. He is working for the voluntary organization without any income right now. He sings very well too. I remember my host family liked to play songs in the morning. When I was brushing teeth in the toilet, I could hear JR sing emotionally! It is really relaxing. Cos every morning in Singapore) I wake up to hear naggings, tv conversation or nothing. But over in Philippines, the singings really smoothened my tiredness and my messy hairs! JR's singing really gives a kick to a great day!
Talented Ronald!!
Really miss the days over there. The experience is fruitful, to the extend I wish to turn back time to July. However, I guess that is what makes it so valuable. The experience is no longer tangible except for photos (i mean really a lot of photos), videos, souvenirs and whole new friendships. Hopefully, this friendships will continue to blossom and may the bond between Visaya and OVE-07 span beyond our lifetime!
" All the very best hopes for those in Visaya. May God bless you guys, guide you all through the times of poverty and show you the door to eternity of happiness. Will really wish to see the houses that you guys are constructing now. It may not be possible now but I believe the day will come. Till then, continue to inspire those who have cross your path. Mamimis you all. Masaya makilala."

exams for sems one are over!
Phew. They are over now. I had been sleeping less than 10 hours for the past 3 days. Finally for the first time in so many weeks, I got to sleep before 1 a.m! Yeah yeah. But it is kinda unbelievable. This is yet another closing to another semester. This is the end of SEMESTER 1 of YEAR 2!!! Arugh.
updates:
1) I'd gotten my mobile phone back. Called the campus security and the student services center. But in the end, I had to go back to hall 10 and recollect my phone! Although I had waited for 1.5 hours under the sun and accompanied by lotsa insects, I am so relieved to have gotten it back. Thanks for everyone who had helped (Van, Esther, Nurul and co, Seng Kiat, Elena, my SISter!). Thanks for everyone who shows so much valuable concerns! I love you all!
2) This is something that I feel really lucky about. On 27th Nov, I was supposed to have my HS207 Social Class and Inequality paper. All along, I thought the paper was started at 1430. Suddenly, out of nowhere and for no reason, I went to recheck the time at 930 on 27th morning. OMG. I had read the time wrongly. It was 1300, not 1430. Lucky I checked again man! This exam has been one full of lucks; I managed to get my phone back, I didn't miss 207, and importantly, the papers are okies. I think I may not score but I will at least pass, even for the killer HS201 Classical Social Theory! I feel so blessed. Thanks you for the mystical force out there who has been guiding me and looking after me! Thank you for fairy godmother!
After our last paper, Denise, Esther, Vanessa and Sengkiat, we went to Xin Wang the Hong Kong cafe for FOOD!! Haha. I think eating has become our tradition way to celebrate!

*the four of us*

*me, van van and denise*

*esther and her dumpling noddle soup. yummy yuummmy*

* van with her fish baked rice.. drooling*

*me and my mee sua.. mmm what is denise doing ?? .lol*

*okies. on your mark, 1.. 2.. 3.. attack!!!*

*opps. caught in the act*
We caught "Enchanted". My first movie with the gals! Haha. The movie is so sweet and funnnny! The dress, the mirror, the singing! So funny. And.. the show reminds me of all the Disney princesses' story that we have long thrown them at the back of our heads. I feel so enchanted after the show. Princess from the enchanted world coming to the real human world. It sorta make you feel that every one can be a princess so long as you find you true love!! I love the songs! Anyone who has the songs can send me???
Okies, that's all for today. Here's an enchanted music video for an enchanted closure.
Lastly... I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss!

tension is on!
My exams finally start today! My first paper is TCM. It was an easy one. There are a lot of questions we had tried before in class. Most of what I have studied came out. Arugh. Shouldn't have SU it!! =[ But it is okies. I think TCM is interesting. Hopefully, there will be the chance to expand more knowledge about it one day.
Although it was the first paper, it was a memorable one:
1) Our TCM lecturer is so cute. He has always been funny during lessons, but today, at such a serious situation, he did it again. For question no. 92, he forgot to include option D. So there were just option A, B and C. Someone pointed out to him. He addressed the hall saying (in Mandarin) that, "Yeah, there is one option sort. But the right answer is within the 3 options." The way he put it was so cute, that the whole exam hall burst into laughters. I will miss him!!
2) This is the first time that I finish a paper in 45 minutes! So when I went up to hand in my answer sheet, the invigilator suddenly announced that we were supposed to leave the answer sheet on our desks. I was already from the 8th or 9th rows away from the front. So, I hecked lo! Just went ahead. I smiled at the female invigilator, thinking that she would make an exception case. Dots, she said I have to leave it on my desk and gave me that "go on, go back" look. Okies lo. Nothing I can do. So I went all the way back to my seat, put the answer sheet on my desk and left the exam hall eagerly. Half-way through, they announced again that we could not leave the exam hall with our question booklet. SO... I HAD TO GO BACK AGAIN. Million of Dots and rolling eyes!
Oh. My mum said I look better these couple of weeks. After I trimmed my fringe, I looked more alert. And, I gained some weight, look healthier. Dots. She said, I look better when I am fleshier but I have some excess baggage on my tummy. Lao ma ar!! You win!
Okies, time to mug for 201 already!. Pray for the best!!~

melancholy rhythm of life
Exams haven't start for me and I am feeling discouraged. I have to say, I really study a lot more this semester. However, the fears of "going to the exam hall, staring blankly at the papers without any information processing in my brain" still got me. My heart was pumping real fast when I thought of it before I drifted to sleep last night. Been slacking a lot this week. I feel frustrated. NO matter how much I studied, the pile is still there. Phew. But feeling better today after some breaks.
This few weeks have been melancholy. Nothing muchies happens, except study and more study. It just got you deeper into this pit of darkness. Yesterday, received a piece of good message from JR. He said that they have already started to build the houses in Visayas. No wonder, they seldom come online these days.
Previously, they were held back by some land disputes. So, we couldn't help them with the construction over at their site. It was a pity that we couldn't contribute to their progress. I think JR want us to visit them during December. I am not sure if anyone is planning anything. But I am financially deprived to go down until I manage to find a vacation job. I am kinda afraid that he will feel disappointed. Cos the last time round, we made it as if we were really confirmed that we would be going back during December. Nonetheless, I am so happy for them. May God bless them, may God loves them all!
Just read on the paper that there is a term called "Foodporn". It is sometimes like, satisfying your desires or stimulating some desires for food through buying some cookbook or magazine. I think Denise's site qualifies for a foodporn site. =P
Came across this advertisement in one of the e-mails Denise forwarded. I love the simplistic creativity exhibited! This is making me miss YOGA! =[

I really wana spree!!! I wana buy beautiful things. I wana look at beautiful stuffs. Broke and lack of time prohibit me to do so. =[ I wana get this mule from "Go Jane"but... expensive nia! Hais.

Elena's recommendation: Jay's new MV. Interesting MV.. It is sad. There is rumors that this is about he and patty hou. *shrug* shld give him his privacy. haha.
Today, one weird bus driver flashed the "I love you" sign at me. He was inside the bus, at his driver seat and grinning at me like a little boy. It was freaking scary. I tried to turn away calmly. But inside, I was like.. "huh, uncle... why trying to act cute??"
Damn stress now. Didn't do much revision today. Chen Hee kept flashing up readings during his revision lecture. It freaks me out. Don't understand what was going on for 201. Damn scary man.
