Birthday Celebration on 9th Feb 2008

( p.a.r.t.o.n.e )

It took me really long to post this blog because we had so many pretty and interesting photos that day! I wanted to post alot of photos. However, I think it is not possible for so. =( Well, guess I have to make do with whatever I can show.

Basically, my primary school dear friends (San, Kai, Ivan and YS) arranged to meet up with me at 3pm at Habourfront MRT station. At 1.44pm, San called me and checked with me where I was. She scared I dilly dally and turned up late again! Apparently, I was still reading some online site. After receiving her call, I decided to prove her wrong and jumped to my feet to tidy up my room before I did my hair. While I was sweeping my room, my dad called for me. I thought there was some parcel to be signed.. So I rushed out with the broom. #*Ten ten*# I saw San (with her camera) and Kai. My brain blanked out!! Gosh! I didn't expect them to come to my home! I rushed back to my room to hide from the camera and, at the same time, restore the my brain's operating system...

However, I am really glad that the guys popped by. Finally, you have been to my house! San said that they know me for so long, and I had not invited them to my house yet. While the guys from HI had been there. So, yups.. I am extremely honor to have you guys here. You all are welcomed to come back again ( just let me know in advance to make sure that I clear away the potentially life threatening stuff away )!!!

Captures of that even are shown below.
Preparation @ the lobby

Light the candles man! (But one candle will be enough seriously! I am not so old! Haha.)

Approaching the target.

Target and her father spotted.

Target armed with weapons (broom and dust pan), flustered in confusion!

Truly, I was surprised but joyful at the same time.

I was grinning at the cake! Know why ??

This was the instigator!

san, green and kai!

Making a wish!

Had a hard time blowing all the candles out lo! Cos you all put so many candles! Wana make me look old right? Lol.

Ivan was crying for Ariel. Keke.

But her sacrifice was worthwhile. We loved the cake! yum yum!

Kai's hands and mouth were busy. keke.

Big SMILE from Ivan.

The dearest organizer of my surprised celebration: Ivan. Kai. San. Steven.

" Hi Wei Ching,
We regret to inform you that your application was not found in our records. Upon successful receipt of your application, we would have immediately sent you an automated acknowledgement slip email. Please check if you received an acknowledgement slip from us. "

My suspicion is right after all. My heart totally stinks so low like the bottomless black hole. Yuck! My efforts all gone. I stayed up until 4am in the morning to look at it and now... Hais. Can't be blamed. Perhaps I was so tired that I didn't check thing properly.

Now, the option is to go to the fee paying ones. I am interested in Berlin School of Economics and University of California, Berkeley. However, Berkeley costs about S$7000 to S$8000. Berlin is super tempting but going alone is SIAN. Shrug. Shall not make any decision now. I am too "low" to think rationally.

Singtel is really testing my patience. *(**&#$*#&$^@ I didn't have any network from yesterday to today noon. My messages started coming in when I was at Jurong Point (on my way to school). Can you believe it?? Horrible man! I complained to Singtel but they have not gotten back to me. I have decided to switch back to Starhub cos I seriously doubt they will improve the network soon. I just don't think it is justifiable for us, consumers, who pay our subscription fees (though always late, at least I paid) to face no or poor network on such a regular basis.

Arts From The Heart @ Vivo City on 2nd Feb 2008

The Stage

Our Cute Event Pass (too bad we've to return it)

The Logistics guys were preparing the stage for the first performance.

We were trying out the games.

Renita was trying to replica the Olympic Logo with the hoops and her spectacle.

Renita and I with her balloon flower. I want one too!

Ivan and me at his booth. Poor Ivan. Though his game sounded easy (throwing the hoops into the hand), it was very hard. Poor sales for him that day.

My booth, "Connect Three". It was easy to win and score points! All you need to do is to make sure you have line 3 balls vertically and horizontally.

My partner who was manning the booth with me.

The prizes to be won. I love the Pare Panda!

Denise at her booth.

Dan and Mel were slacking on the stage.

Hip-hop dance performance. Notice anyone familiar?

Choir performance.

Lunch!

Van was attending to the customers.

Mmmm. What were they watching?

Wa! Man in balloon! How did he do that???

We were waiting for the Guest Of Honor to arrive.

Cute Van with Denise!

We and the Kaiwaii mascot! From neck above, it looked cute but scary body it had. Some kids actually hesitated when the bear waved at them. Haha.

Renita and me were outside Vivo City, selling coupons.

We are in the Singapore Book of Record for accumulating the most number of 50 cent coins. We managed to fill up the bear with the coins! Yeah! =D

p.s: thanks Dan and Denise for the pictures!
